EUR/AUD Chart Analysis
EUR/AUD Technical Analysis
The technical analysis of the EURAUD price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows EURAUD,H4 is retracing down toward the 200-period moving average MA(200) after hitting one-month high yesterday. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower bound of the Donchian channel at 1.66747. A level below this can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 1.67414. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved to the next fractal high indicator, following Parabolic signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level without reaching the order, we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.
Fundamental Analysis of Forex - EUR/AUD
The European Central Bank cut rates by 25 basis points yesterday. Will the EURAUD price retreating continue?
Latest data were mixed from Australia: producer prices growth slowed while private sector credit grew at steady rate. Australian Bureau of Statistics reported Producer Price Index (PPI) growth slowed to 0.8% over quarter from 0.9% in Q3 2024 when an uptick to 1.0% was expected. And the private sector credit grew at steady 0.6% over month rate when a downtick to 0.5% was forecast. At the same time the European Central Bank cut interest rates by 25 basis points yesterday and characterized the ECB monetary policy as still restrictive, pointing to more cuts coming. Expectations of lower rates are bearish for euro and EURAUD currency pair.
